A blog about working better together

According to IFA Online, companies with the highest levels of employee engagement (above 80%) have more face to face meetings.

It seems obvious that face time is important but there are still tons of managers and whole companies that sweep it under the rug. Little do they know, an organization is only half as likely to have a high employee engagement level if it communicates information electronically.

Now I know that we have this amazing thing called the internet that makes it so easy to share information, however, remember that it is so important to have face to face time. In our world today with so many remote teams and telecommuters, try Skype or a company portal to include everyone.

In the IFA study, Marco Forato, chief marketing office at Unum explains:

By not taking this time out to speak to employees in person and address any queries or concerns, companies are not only doing a disservice to their staff, but may also potentially be affecting the financial performance of their business.

Make sure to meet regularly with your employees and assure that your team says happy, engaged and productive!
